Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral?

A referral from your doctor is not necessary unless you are claiming treatment under Worker’s Compensation, Veteran’s Affairs, Third Party Insurance or Medicare under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM). Please be advised that our practice does not bulk bill under Medicare.

You are required to pay for the full fee up front and we provide you with a receipt. You can take this receipt to Medicare to claim your rebate or upload it to an app on your smart phone. Either way, the rebate will then be transferred back into your account.

What will happen on my initial visit?

Please allow approximately 1 hour for your initial assessment and treatment.

It includes a review of your medical history followed by a thorough physical examination. A biomechanical assessment will reveal any altered movement patterns that may be causing you pain or discomfort. Subsequently, with a clear understanding of your condition and taking into account your routines and lifestyle, an individual treatment plan combining hands-on treatment and a tailored exercise program will be designed. Most subsequent visits will take approximately 45 minutes.
